Irish insults translated into English

Would’ja g’way ourra dah?

IT’S SAFE TO say that the Irish people have an interesting way with words, especially when it comes to expressing our frustrations.

Jenny Keogh wants to celebrate our take on the English language, so she’s putting together a series of short films called How The Irish Speak English.

With St Patrick’s weekend almost upon us Keogh has decided to capture “the wrath of the Irish”, translating all those insults we just love to pull out of the bag when we’re having a lively exchange.

Better show this one to the tourists before they land, eh?

Thanks to Jenny for sending this our way.
